KittyKannabis & Company was inspired by the cats that saved my life & gave me purpose. Through homelessness, addiction, & eventually recovery & rebuilding my life, cats remained a constant source of comfort and purpose. Today, that gratitude lives on through a brand dedicated to enriching the lives of cats while supporting causes that help both animals and people in need.

Over the years, I rescued cats from abandoned homes, trap houses, and the streets of Philadelphia. Some arrived scared, sick, or forgotten, but each one reminded me of the healing power of second chances. Those experiences shaped the values behind KittyKannabis & Company: compassion, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact for both cats and the communities around us.

In December 2025 we held our first annual winter clothing drive — something I plan to do every year. We also donate a portion of every sale to Never Surrender Hope, a Philadelphia based non-profit focused on helping individuals struggling with addiction & homelessness, as well as support for the families of loved ones lost to addiction. Because giving back isn't a marketing strategy for us. It's who we are.

Managing a feral colony wasn't something I planned — it just happened, and honestly, I'm grateful it did. There's something about showing up every single day for animals that can't ask for help - they gave me purpose. These cats needed me, and in a lot of ways, I needed them just as much.

But that consistency, that routine, it became an anchor for me during a time when I really needed one. Every cat in the colony goes through TNR to keep them healthy and the colony stable over time. It's the responsible way to care for a community of ferals, and it's the standard I hold myself to. These aren't just stray cats to me. They're my cats.

Yes. Catnip is a natural herb that is non-addictive and completely safe for cats when used as intended. Most cats simply enjoy a burst of playful energy followed by relaxation. No chemicals, no additives — just the plant.
Most cats respond, but catnip sensitivity is inherited genetically — about 30–40% of cats may not react at all. Kittens under a few months old often show little or no interest too. If your cat doesn't respond, our Silvervine Blend is a great alternative that works on cats catnip doesn't.
Using Catnip
Most cats respond for about 5–15 minutes before naturally becoming temporarily immune to its effects. After a short break, they can enjoy it all over again. It's a built-in reset — totally normal.
A small pinch is usually all you need. Sprinkle it on a toy, scratching post, cat bed, or other favorite spot and let your cat enjoy. Because our catnip is potent and fresh, a little goes a long way.
Keep your catnip sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Proper storage helps maintain freshness and potency for longer — which is why we package in small batches instead of giant bags that sit open for months.

AFF does not have a physical shelter location and we rely on wonderful foster homes to shelter and care for the animals we bring in.
